Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral therapy is a transformational manual therapy.

It works rapidly and effectively to remove layers of shock, trauma and grief that remain as memories in your body, preventing it from re-balancing.

Stress is unavoidable in today’s world but you are only designed to take so much stimulation before your body starts to show symptoms. Left unaddressed, they can lead to serious disease. CST uniquely addresses the cause of your symptoms, and you may notice changes in your mind, body and spirit as you re-balance and re-integrate after treatments.

Craniosacral therapy can support you with a variety of conditions: Mental emotional trauma, Migraine, Anxiety, Behavioural disorders, TMJ (temporomandibular joint)/jaw problems, Tinnitus, Headaches, Trigeminal neuralgia, Chronic Pain, to name a few. Due to its approach CST is suitable for both adults and children.

The Crainosacral system consists of the cranial bones, the sacrum, the spinal cord and membranes that surround them and attach to them, as well as the cerebro spinal fluid that bathes the tissues of the brain and spinal cord.

I am trained to tune into these parts and assess the areas of restriction, through gentle contact on the body. All work is done fully clothed.

My manual work facilitates your own inherent healing mechanism in addressing and releasing points of tension, thereby re-establishing effective flow of fluids around the body. This occurs with a level of contact appropriate to you.

It is well known that a person’s emotional health can affect their well-being. Craniosacral therapy is effective in calming the nervous system, calming anxiety and offering relaxation to optimise the body’s own healing capacity.

As a busy A&E doctor I frequently work nights and found that despite my exhaustion I was unable to sleep or relax when off work. My body felt heavy and I was frequently agitated. After the first session with Raj I found I was able to reach a deep level of relaxation. Subsequent sessions led to further improvement in my levels of agitation and general mood. My body feels more limber. When I am off work I am able to sleep better, and no longer suffer from the restless agitation my work was causing. I am increasingly recommending craniosacral therapy to patients for their mental emotional wellbeing.”
